Visit Princes Street Gardens

Princes Street Gardens lies at centre of Edinburgh’s World Heritage Site, within New Town and Old Town Outstanding Conservation Areas.

30,000 plants make the colourful displays, and a variety of flower and foliage plants are used in the designs.

Visit Arthurs Seat & Holyrood Park

Holyrood Park, located just a short walk from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, spans 640 acres and is situated next to Holyrood Palace. The park’s highest point is Arthur’s Seat, an ancient volcano rising 251 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the city. Arthur’s Seat is also home to a large, well-preserved fort, one of four hill forts in the area dating back approximately 2000 years.

Visit Royal Botanical Gardens

Visit Dean Village

Just five minutes from Princes Street, discover Dean Village, an oasis by the Water of Leith. Explore historic mill remnants, stone plaques, and the Dean Bridge, designed by Thomas Telford. Calton Hill

Calton Hill, a volcanic hill located just beyond the eastern end of Princes Street, is home to some of Edinburgh’s most significant monuments and provides stunning panoramic views of the city. In the 19th century, Edinburgh was envisioned as the ‘Athens of the North,’ and Calton Hill was seen as Edinburgh’s equivalent of the Athenian Acropolis, featuring classical revival architecture.
